What is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a meditative experience that helps calm the mind and relax the body. The frequencies and vibrations of the instruments gently guide you into a theta brainwave state, where deep rest, meditation, and creativity naturally unfold. It soothes the nervous system and supports such deep relaxation that your body can begin to heal itself. Sound journeys can help restore balance to the nervous system, lower heart rate, reduce blood pressure, and support a sense of harmonious balance in the body. They can also lower stress and ease overwhelm, creating space for inner awareness and a deeper knowing—insights we might not access in the busyness of everyday life. It’s a simple and natural way to reset the mind and body, requiring no effort—just your presence.

  • Pacemakers and other electronic implants — The vibrations from sound baths may interfere with pacemakers or other implanted devices. It is always best to consult your doctor before attending a session if you have any concerns.

  • Epilepsy — In rare cases, specific sound frequencies may trigger seizures in people with epilepsy. If you have epilepsy, speak with your doctor before attending a sound bath session.

  • Sensitivity to sound — A sound bath may be overwhelming if you have a heightened sensitivity to sound. If you participate, consider using earplugs or sitting further away from the sound source. If you wear hearing aids, some adjustments might be necessary for your comfort.

  • History of psychosis-Sound healing can trigger emotional releases which may be uncomfortable or unmanageable for those with a history of extreme mental health conditions.
